Gin has a strong citrus scent and a pine-like taste, accompanied by a kick of mild bitterness. The pine-like taste comes from juniper berry, which is the signature ingredient of Gin. The sour taste is due to the usage of many herbs and lime peels throughout the process.
The only consistent flavour threading through all gins, regardless of brand or type, is juniper, a subtle piney scent. However, beyond that, there are hundreds of different botanicals that can be combined in different ways to produce a completely unique flavour for each gin.

D'urban Scarlet Gin is a South African gin that is named after the D'Urban family, who were some of the first settlers in Durban. The gin comes in a 750ml bottle and is 43% ABV.

History: D'urban Scarlet Gin is produced by Distillery 031, a craft distillery in Durban, South Africa. The distillery was founded in 2008 and produces a range of craft spirits, including gin, vodka, and rum. D'urban Scarlet Gin was launched in 2015 and has since won several awards for its quality and unique flavor.
