Gin has a strong citrus scent and a pine-like taste, accompanied by a kick of mild bitterness. The pine-like taste comes from juniper berry, which is the signature ingredient of Gin. The sour taste is due to the usage of many herbs and lime peels throughout the process.
The only consistent flavour threading through all gins, regardless of brand or type, is juniper, a subtle piney scent. However, beyond that, there are hundreds of different botanicals that can be combined in different ways to produce a completely unique flavour for each gin.

Inverroche Small Batch Distilled Amber Handcrafted Gin: Appearance: The Amber gin has a golden amber color and is slightly hazy due to the natural oils of the botanicals.

Aroma: The nose is floral and herbaceous with hints of juniper, rose petals, and delicate spices.

Flavor: The flavor is complex and well-balanced with juniper and citrus notes, complemented by honey, fynbos, and rooibos.

Mouthfeel: It has a silky smooth mouthfeel, with a slightly oily texture due to the natural oils of the botanicals.

Finish: The finish is long and warm, with lingering notes of honey and fynbos.

Botanicals: Fynbos, including buchu, wild rosemary, and honeybush, as well as juniper, coriander, angelica root, lemon peel, and cinnamon.

Distillation Technique: The gin is made using a three-tiered copper pot still, and the botanicals are infused separately in neutral spirits before being blended together.
