Gin has a strong citrus scent and a pine-like taste, accompanied by a kick of mild bitterness. The pine-like taste comes from juniper berry, which is the signature ingredient of Gin. The sour taste is due to the usage of many herbs and lime peels throughout the process.
The only consistent flavour threading through all gins, regardless of brand or type, is juniper, a subtle piney scent. However, beyond that, there are hundreds of different botanicals that can be combined in different ways to produce a completely unique flavour for each gin.

Inverroche Small Batch Distilled Verdant Handcrafted Gin: Appearance: The Verdant gin has a bright, clear color with a slight green tint.

Aroma: The nose is fresh and herbaceous, with hints of citrus and juniper.

Flavor: The flavor is bright and zesty, with notes of lemon verbena, spearmint, and juniper.

Mouthfeel: It has a light and refreshing mouthfeel, with a clean finish.

Finish: The finish is crisp and dry, with a lingering herbaceousness.

Botanicals: Fynbos, including Cape snowbush, kapokbos, and wild rosemary, as well as juniper, coriander, lemon peel, and angelica root.

Distillation Technique: The gin is made using a small-batch copper pot still, and the botanicals are infused separately in neutral spirits before being blended together.
