Gin has a strong citrus scent and a pine-like taste, accompanied by a kick of mild bitterness. The pine-like taste comes from juniper berry, which is the signature ingredient of Gin. The sour taste is due to the usage of many herbs and lime peels throughout the process.
The only consistent flavour threading through all gins, regardless of brand or type, is juniper, a subtle piney scent. However, beyond that, there are hundreds of different botanicals that can be combined in different ways to produce a completely unique flavour for each gin.

Both gins are made using a triple-distillation technique, with the truffle infusion added during the third distillation process. KWV Cruxland Gin Infused with Black Truffles is infused with Italian black truffles, while KWV Cruxland London Dry Gin Infused with Kalahari Truffles is infused with Kalahari truffles, which are sourced from South Africa.

KWV is a South African company that has been producing wine, spirits, and other alcoholic beverages since 1918. The Cruxland Gin range was introduced in 2018, and the truffle-infused gins were added to the range in 2020. The gins are produced using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, with a focus on high-quality botanicals and unique flavor profiles.
