The nosing of the whisky is so key to appreciation. We suggest you start by bringing the glass slowly towards your nose and then gently smell the whisky. With high strength whisky you have to be careful, as you may anesthetise your nose. This explains why there is such variety in the texture of malt whiskies, from delicate, silky and velvety, to luscious, creamy and full-bodied.

The Dalmore 15 year old is smooth, rich and well rounded; the epitome of The Dalmore house style. Under the watchful eye of our Master Distiller, the liquid is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes.The whisky is then finished in different styles of oloroso sherry casks including Amoroso, rare Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso which are hand selected from world renowned bodegas, including Gonzalez Byass. Each sherry cask gifts the whisky with its own individual characteristics and flavours.

FINISH: Caramelised orange and rich dark chocolate
